The Township is working with an engineering and surveying firm, Fleis & Vandenbrink, to record coordinates for assets that are part of the Township’s Sanitary Sewer System. This work requires surveyors to use a Global Positioning System (GPS) device called a receiver that can accurately record the coordinates of various assets. The main assets the Township is seeking to record are grinder pumps and valve boxes. If valve boxes are buried, the surveyor may have to use a metal detector to locate the valve box. This work will help the operations team for the sewer system more efficiently and effectively respond to sewer maintenance work as it arises. Residents who own properties that have grinder pumps and valve boxes may see the surveyors on their property to do this work. The work should take no longer than 15 minutes. Fleis & Vandenbrink are complying with all safety and health regulations that are applicable during the COVID-19 pandemic. This work should be completed by the end of May. Thank you for your cooperation.
