Effective April 1, 2008 the sanitary sewer rates were adjusted as follows:

Capital Charge from $39.50 to $40.50 and
O&M from $79.00 to $81.00

This sanitary sewer rate adjustment was approved by the Charter Township Board of Trustees at their regular meeting of February 4, 2008.

Notice of Public Hearing

In accordance with Brighton Township Ordinance No. 194, Sec. 17. User Charge System, 1.Fees, a Public Hearing will be held for the purpose of reviewing a proposed rate increase. The meeting will take place on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at the Brighton Township Hall at 4363 Buno Road, Brighton, Michigan.

The proposed change to the Sanitary Sewer User Fee to be considered is as follows:

Replacing the Tap-in fee and the Access Fee with a new Sanitary Sewer REU Charge of $10,260.
